Registration of a Doctoral Project

You have taken the first and most difficult steps: You have found a team of supervisors and agreed on a topic. Now you make it official at the Medical Research School! Please remember to do so within the first 3 months of starting your research.

At the Faculty of Medicine, all doctoral projects must be registered with medRSD.

OK, but how and when?

The field of Public Health is broad, and the degrees are diverse. Therefore, before registering with medRSD, there will be an equivalence examination of the admission requirements.

PhD in Medical Sciences

For admission to the PhD program your application will be reviewed by the PhD committee of the faculty. After their approval you register with medRSD.

Enrollment at HHU

After registering the doctoral project you need to enroll at Heinrich-Heine-University. The SSC will help with any questions.

Discontinuation of the doctoral project

A lot can go wrong with a doctoral project. However, in most cases it is possible to drop out and if need be, re-register without any problems.
