Vicious circle of platelets

Scientists at the Institut für Physikalische Biologie contributed to the discovery of a key mechanism for a direct involvement of platelets in the progression of Alzheimer's disease. Inhibition of platelets could become an important future therapy strategy. The findings were published in the current issue of the renowned journal "Science Signaling".
